On behalf of Kathy Lake and myself I would like to thank Joan Beech for arranging for such an excellent trophy table. The trophies were admired by all. There were prizes for all placements and every Pom that entered the ring left with a bag of nicely packaged home-made dog biscuits.

We would very much like to thank Laurie Kinsman and the Portage Legacy Project for the Specialty Grant, the cash prize for Best of Breed and the very beautiful trophy for Best of Breed. Also Sharon Shibley and Barbara MacCrimmon deserve a round of thanks for the hospitality table of fresh fruit that they prepared.

Speaking with Ken and Jackie Rayer today, they told Kathy and I that they had a wonderful time enjoying the show, our Poms, the banquet and Canada, where everyone made them feel comfortable and at home. Ken indicated that they had been to Canada once before about 25 years ago and had a very good experience at that time and this visit was equally as enjoyable. Our Sweepstakes judge Elaine Lessig, who was also from New Jersey, has never been to Canada before and she was likewise thrilled to be able to visit Canada and see the wonderful Pomeranians that we have here.
