Quite
a number of Canadians (about 20 or so) attended the American Pomeranian Club
Specialty in Louisville,
Kentucky
in
March 2004, and as in the past few years, they turned in a
stellar performance showing they could hold their own with the
very best North America has to offer. The Canadian contingent
also sponsored and hosted a portion of the hospitality night on
Monday, a great opportunity for the Canadians to make themselves
known to APC members.
I don't have a complete list of who was there, but the one's
I'm pretty sure attended (based mostly on hearsay I confess) in
alphabetical order by kennel name are Sheila Lang (Bantor),
Chris and John Heartz (Chriscendo), Dewayne Ward (Debonne) Lisa
Stasiuk and Mike Carbno (Diogenoir), Marie Jacques (Flashingstar),
Pamela Dodsworth and Larry Fox (Foxworth), Melvin and Joan Beech
(Jolvin), Coleen Beland (Pomhaven), Christine and Larry Surtees
(Pomkees), Laurie Kinsman (Sablewood), Margaret Jennings (Weepawz),
Paddi Bruce and Les Wain, the Club's Newsletter Editor and
Publisher. That's all I know of!
Please let me
know if I missed anyone and I will happily add your name to the
list of attendees . . . and winners too. Also let me know if I
included anyone who wasn't actually there! If you have any
photos, whether winners or otherwise, of the Canadians and
Canadian dogs that were at the national please send them to me
and I will happily put them on the website as well. Be nice to
have some fun "people" shots too.
And if I've made any mistakes, I'll be happy to fix them. Just
let me know: bevcarter@damascusroad.ca
Here's
a report that Laurie Kinsman (Sablewood Pomeranians) was kind
enough to put together
and send me. Thanks a million Laurie, I really appreciate it.
Any photos I have are provided below
the report. If you want to send me a photo of your win I'll be
happy to add it.
